- Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state. Blanket? It's colors put me in mind of a hand-crafted quilt. Pretty!

They are pretty aren't they, these are growing in one of my flower beds. It is a perennial so it just pops back up each year.

That's what this one is called, a blanket flower, I hadn't noticed but it does sort of have a quilt look.
