Love the soft tones. Like Rae said, let's your pics pop! One of these days we'll plant our strawberries. They are right below the grapes on the infamous list...
Rae, Glad to hear that it is better, I did it rather late last night and it looked good then. The change sort of scrambled things so I have been fixing that this morning.
Emily Rose, That is how they look before they get ripe. It's the first time I have really looked at them at this stage. I think it is easier on the eyes also.
MzzLily, The colors do seem brighter in the photos with this color. These strawberries are in a hanging basket, simple and easy.
Anne, It won't be long on the strawberries and about a month on the raspberries. Very yummy.
A very relaxing background color. Thumbs up! Are those strawberries wild? I used to have a patch of wild ones near where I lived. Wild strawberries are much smaller than domestic, more tart, quite unforgettable.
Hi Poet, These strawberries are in a hanging basket on my patio so not very wild. It's been a long time since I've had the wild ones but they are good.
When you are describing,
A shape, or sound, or tint;
Don't state the matter plainly,
But put it in a hint;
And learn to
look at all things,
With a sort of mental squint.
-Lewis Carroll

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.
The past is a nice place to visit, but I don't want to live there.
The past is a fun place to visit, but today is where I am now.
The past is a interesting place to visit, But tomorrow will bring new memories.

It Couldn't Be Done
Somebody said that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That "maybe it couldn’t," but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you’ll never do that; At least no one ever has done it;" But he took off his coat and he took off his hat And the first thing we knew he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin, Without any doubting or quiddit, He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done, There are thousands to prophesy failure, There are thousands to point out to you one by one, The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin, Just take off your coat and go to it; Just start in to sing as you tackle the thing That "cannot be done," and you’ll do it.

Thank You MzzLily
My Fairy
My fairy is called Tangle Saturnshimmer
She is a trouble maker.
She lives at the bottom of tangled gardens and in hedgerows.
She is only seen when the first flowers begin to blossom.
She wears tangled dresses of multicoloured petals. She has delicate pale pink wings like a cicada.
My my, hey hey
Rock and roll is here to stay
It's better to burn out
Than to fade away
My my, hey hey.
Hey hey, my my
Rock and roll can never die
There's more to the picture
Than meets the eye.
Hey hey, my my.

I changed the background color on this page, what do you think? Is it better on the eyes? Worse?
Thanks all,
SQ
I like this background a lot. Lets your photo colors be the centerpiece.
RAE
Heh! Love the inverted strawberry, so to speak...green berry and reddish seeds.
And this background color is easy on the eyes.

Yummy, something to look forward to.
