I love the old style brick down towns. It makes me think that things can still be simple.

Great pictures. Seeing these make me miss city life a little.

I'll have to make a special trip into Austin for an around town photo shoot. Then when I begin to miss the hustle and bustle, I'll pull them up on my computer screen.

These are great! It's sad when cities & towns lose this kind of architecture due to "modernization". Preservation through pictures is vital.

I'm fortunate to live where old meets new.

Within five miles is "Old Town" with all the nifty architecture like these - the pic behind my title is from an old church door way.

But, while only five years old, my neighborhood was designed to re-create to look like something from the early to mid 20th century. I had always wanted to live in old town because of the charm, but Hubby always said no because of the maintenance of an old house and his inability to run network cable. Now I get the charm with the conveinence of new construction.
