Today's Flowers - St. John's Wort

Hypericum, or St. John's Wort, is a perennial shrub that blooms from mid to late summer. It is found almost worldwide and there many varieties of the plant. It is a wildflower, a herb and sometimes considered a weed. St John's Wort is well known as a herbal treatment for depression. The leaves and flowers can be used to prepare herbal teas.
