Who's Watching Who? - The Brenda Photo Challenge

Artwork supplied by Donna of
The Brenda Photo Challenge

Here it is just before Halloween and I'm walking around town looking at some of the decorations. The reflections in this store window were interesting as were the items on display.

But all the time I was walking I kept having the feeling I was being watched. You know, that weird little feeling, you don't see anyone but you know that somewhere eyes are watching your every move.

But that' s silly, why would this pumpkin or ghost be watching me? Besides they are not real.

I can't shake the feeling that . . . . there are eyes everywhere!

Maybe? No it's not him.

This is silly, I told myself, there is no one watching me. It's time to go home now and prepare for the trick or treaters. I am not being watched, am I?

This post is for The Brenda Photo Challenge, this week's theme is of course, Halloween. Be sure to visit the other participants by visiting The Brenda Photo Challenge, better yet join us!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Bewitching Skies - SkyWatch Friday

Our week started out sunny and bright, then the clouds rolled into the valley.

The corn in the fields has turned to brown and looks lonely under the cloudy sky.

As the week progressed the clouds grew thicker. Click on any photo to enlarge.

And an eerie silence fell over the valley.

The autumn sky is ablaze at sunset, perhaps a harbinger of things to come? Does anyone else see the witch on her broom?
Happy Halloween!

Don't Go There - ThisWay ThursWay

Out for a Sunday drive looking for photo opportunities on the back roads of the valley. I came to a cross roads and this was one choice. The primitive road was interesting and I might have tried it but the bullet holes in the sign convince me to go the other way. What would you have done?

This is the first time I have done this meme. I saw it on my friend Al's blog, Caramel Macchiato. Thanks Al. To check out more photos visit ThisWay-ThrusWay.

Puddle Jumping - Watery Wednesday

Most of you may remember this photo from the weekend on SkyWatch. It was taken about a week ago at one of our parks. Look at the mountains in the background.

This photo was taken yesterday, now look at the mountains in this photo. See all that white stuff, that's snow and it's getting closer! Ewwwww!

Want to see more water in all it's glory? Go to Watery Wednesday.

Just a Sip - Mellow Yellow Monday

The Walla Walla Valley of southeast Washington state is home to many vineyards, the wines produced here are sold all over the country. This is the tasting room for Cayuse Vineyards, click on their name for more information. Their colorful store front is located on Main Street in downtown Walla Walla. While the outside is very inviting I have never been inside, their wines are way, way out of my price range. Maybe one of these days I will go in for a taste.

Let the Sunshine In - Today's Flowers

This is a pretty little chrysanthemum I found last week, it was so colorful and happy I had to bring it home.

I can't believe my Shasta Daisies are still blooming. This photo was taken today.

SkyWatch Friday - Mountains and Trees

We had a variety of views this week around the valley. I like the one above because it looks like a little window in the clouds showing the promise of blue skies ahead.

The clouds are always dancing over the Blue Mountains.

This tall tree is beginning to turn beautiful shades of gold.

The pond is surrounded by color and if you look through the trees you can catch a glimpse of the mountains.

Experiencing Technical Difficulties

I just wanted to let everyone know I have not disappeared from the face of the blogosphere, just having a few glitches in the system. We are having problems with our network router, I think. Our cable company says the problem is with our router but after trying three different routers we have determined it is the cable company's problem. Now I just have to convince them. I love broadband but it can be a pain at times.

At the moment I am plugged directly into the cable modem, so hubby's computer can't connect and it doesn't solve the problem.

Also Friday and Saturday night Blogger was being sooooo slow, it was taking twenty minutes to upload one photo. Then on Saturday night I while I was visiting everyone it started taking forever for the comments to post. It might have been my connection but I suspect Blogger was just being Blogger.

To make a very long story much shorter, I will be working on the problem more tomorrow. Hopefully one more call to the cable company will get it sorted out. In the meantime, if I can get a photo to load I will leave you with something pretty to look at until I get back. I will be visiting everyone as soon as possible because I miss reading your blogs.

Highways and Byways Part II - The Brenda Photo Challenge

Our world is filled with Highways and Byways, we use them every day to go places. This is part of The Brenda Photo Challenge.

But humans aren't the only ones who use these paths.

Some creatures use the same paths that we use like this duck who is crossing the road to get to a nearby lake.

To a little ladybug a branch, flower stem or a blade of grass is a byway.

And then there are the squirrels. This squirrel likes to take the high road and use the utility cables (this is a phone line) to travel and check out what's happening down below.

This little squirrel has chosen to take the pathway, but sometimes squirrels can't make up their minds which way to go. Every path looks interesting.

Sometimes it's just a good idea to stop and ask for directions!

This is Part II of my post for this challenge. To see Part I go to The Road to Here.
