- Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state. What a happy green and yellow picture, stunning colors everywhere! Those must be some excited people! Have you been in one?
How neat! I have always wanted a ride in one, but I am afraid of heights. I don't mind planes (because they are enclosed) but these scare me and fascinate me at the same time!
I've made a half-dozen jumps from hot air balloons, so they have a different feeling for me: excitement and a little frisson of fear.

Ohhhhh, fabulous photograph. I've done two hot air balloon rides, over the Napa Valley vineyards and I just loved them! Afterwards, we landed among the grapes for a wonderful champagne breakfast!

The Temecula Valley Hot Air Balloon Festival is June 4-6! We have our tickets and I can't wait! I am also hoping we can go to Albuquerque, NM in early October. These colorful events just can't be missed! I love this green and yellow balloon!!!
