When you are describing,
A shape, or sound, or tint;
Don't state the matter plainly,
But put it in a hint;
And learn to
look at all things,
With a sort of mental squint.

Judy, my guess was way off..They are beautiful baby peacocks..
Woulda nevah guessed!
Peacock never occured to me, i was stuck on turkey. these babies are beautiful and we know the daddy is
I've heard the term "pea fowl" but had no idea it was a peacock. Poppa is gorgeous and mama isn't bad looking either. :D
Great photos even if you had to stick your camera through the fence.
Oh Wow! They are gorgeous parents. I have never seen baby peacocks before. Hard to believe they will turn into such magnificent creatures.
I awarded you; http://fredasvoice.blogspot.com/2010/08/great-blog-neighbor-award.html
Great photos!
I know they are beautiful, but jeesh I just cannot stand the noise they make. LOL!
COOL!
Judy, you are the lucky one to have captured such a fantastic display of beautiful feathers.
I had no idea the chicks would look this lovely someday.
It was fun wondering, thanks!
ps, I'll keep the beach chair ready for ya :)
Wow Judy! Those feathers can make a lot of fashion accessories!
Wow! Peacock babies!! I think i have never seen any! I have never got one blog guessing game right, ever! I see nothing wrong at all with the photo quality, the last pic looks like out of a magazine!
A strange thing happened when I saw the picture of the chicks. I somehow knew they were peacocks. I don't know if I just have seen some before somewhere or if I just got lucky. Either way, these are some of my favorite birds.
Beautiful and clever posts today and yesterday! I'm happy to know I'm not the only one to stick the camera lens through fences.
Those chain link fences are so aggravating to a photographer! Nevertheless, you captured some very nice images, especially that last one of papa. This is the first I've seen peacock chicks. They're so cute!
Absolutely gorgeous even with the obstruction! Peacocks have every reason to be proud of their plumage!
