A Walk in the Park - Mellow Yellow Monday

This shrub is in one of our local parks, it is always a golden yellow color.
I believe it is Sungold Thread-Branch False Cypress (Chamaecyparis pisifera filifera 'Sungold'). It definitely brightens up the park area with its very mellow yellow.

My ducky little friend and I like wood in all its forms. But without a doubt we will take natural wood above all the rest. Look close to see what ducky is resting upon!

Our local park has a huge aviary that houses more than birds and waterfowl. There are several rabbits inside the aviary as well. I have seen the big black rabbit and the lop eared bunny but I still haven't spotted Benny. They have lots of places to hide and feel safe but one of these days I will get a look at Benny. If you remember my post from yesterday you will know I asked if you could see what was watching me from the woods. As I thought most everyone spotted my little stalker right away. For those who didn't see him or weren't sure .....

..... here is a closer look. Like I said yesterday I was concentrating on the trees and the lake and didn't see him when I took this photo. But when I walked to the other side of the tree....

.... look who was waiting for me.

Watcher in the Woods - Watery/Outdoor Wednesday

This is one of my favorite spots by the lake, it is almost always quiet.

Look carefully at this last photo. I didn't notice until after I had downloaded the photo that I was being watched.

I'm going to borrow a little game from my friend Ratty, The Everyday Adventurer and see if you can find what was watching me. Hint, it is on the land not the water. Hanging Around - Mellow Yellow Monday/Photo Time

I found this little yellow caterpillar in a store a few days ago and being that he was on sale thought maybe I should give him a home.

He likes to hang from the edge of flower pots which is quite nice and gives him a view of his surroundings.

From dairy products to antiques. The historic Shady Lawn Creamery building dates back to the 1870's. The building was renovated and now has a new life as an antique mall. Sorry for the quality of the photos, foggy days do not always photograph well.
