A Thousand Springs - Watery/Outdoor Wednesday

Part of our vacation took us down Highway 30 between Hagerman, ID and Buhl, ID through an area known as Magic Valley. For part of the drive we had a view of Thousand Springs State Park. We were across the river from the falls.

I could find no specific name for this falls. If you look to the side of the falls you will see why this area is called Thousand Springs, the water is coming out of the rocks. We saw dozens of small springs and falls. What do you think Betsy?

This is the eighth photo is my eighth photo folder. I know the tag is for one photo but it is the first of a group of three I shot of this scene.


The photos were taken at one of our local city parks last spring. I had been to the park several time but this was the first time I had been there just to take photos. After walking the park trail I was on my way back to my car to leave. At the edge of the parking lot I looked up and saw these beautiful blooms against a blue sky. I took three photos of the branch but didn't notice the little honey bee in the last photo until I got home and uploaded the photos to my computer. See him?

Let the Race Begin!

Saturday was our town's annual Ducky Derby fund raising event. For more information on these Ducks with a Mission click HERE!

Over 17,000 ducks were released into a local creek. Most of the ducks hurried on their way trying to be the first across the finish line.

Some of the little fellas took a break near the shore to catch their breath or have a chat with their fellow competitors.

"Well, what do you think? Should we tell them Kenny's dead?"

Others decide to strike out on their own. "Oh no! I forgot my GPS! I wonder if I'm going the right way."

It's a long way to swim but they will be greeted by cheering crowds as they near the finish line.

"Is it time to go home yet?"
