Innocent Heart

Neither great photos nor great art but still magical in its own way. Most of the people walking on this busy sidewalk never looked down but a few of us stopped to view the simple chalk art drawings.

Look high, look low!
There are hearts wherever you go.

Visit Clytie at Guest Hearts Thursday for more hearts.

Sunny Day

I like to play with different lighting to see what kind of effects I can create. In this case sunlight through a window was used as the backlight for these sunflowers.

Yellow is mellow, start your week off right with Mellow Yellow Monday. And if photos are you thing you need to check out Photo Time, better yet join the fun.

The Livingstone daisy (Dorotheanthus bellidformis) is an annual with flat, succulent leaves and daisy-like blooms. The flowers grow up to 8 inches high and spread to 12 inches wide. The little bumps you see on the stems are not water drops they are a part of the stem. They require full sun and well drained soil. The Livingstone daisies are perfect for dry, sunny locations. While the ones shown here are being grown in a hanging basket they are great to use as a ground cover and are perfect for rock gardens. Livingstone daisies love the sun and the flowers close at night or on cloudy days. The plant originated in South Africa.

Mondays are more mellow when you add yellow. To see more photos from around the world visit Mellow Yellow Monday.

And all those who see me, and all who believe in me,
Share in the freedom I feel when I fly!

Come dance with the west wind,
And touch all the mountain tops,
Sail o'er the canyons, and up to the stars,
And reach for the heavens, and hope for the future,
And all that we can be, not what we are.

John Denver

From every mountainside, let freedom ring.

Dr. Martin Luther King

The theme for this week's Brenda Photo Challenge is Freedom. As our country celebrates the Fourth of July it is my hope that someday Freedom will be enjoyed by every individual in every country around the world. Let Freedom ring!
