American Wigeon

Both photos are of male American Wigeons. I find their coloring fascinating, especially the grayish-blue bill. These photos were taken at one of our local parks. If you want to know more about this little duck go HERE.

Mirror Finish

All of the automobiles at the local car show earlier this month were well polished. It was a great time to get some reflection photos like this one. I will show you some others at a later time.

Curves and Chrome

This weekend was our city's annual Wheelin' Weekend car show. There were almost ten city blocks of antique and classic cars. This bright yellow really stood out from the rest. It is a 1927 Ford T Coupe.

Where's The Train?

We explored the area around these Eastern Oregon bridges on our way to Idaho last spring. The one in the foreground is a railroad bridge which is still used. The road that goes across the bridge in the background has been closed. The theme for this week's Photo Time is Overpass or Underpass.

Blanket Flower

First there is a bud.

The Blanket Flower (Gaillardia aestivalis) is a drought tolerant perennial from the sunflower family. The name is in reference to the brightly colored blankets made by native Americans. Gaillardia will grow in very dry and harsh conditions.

Not My Grandpa's Tractor

It was a dark and overcast day at last Saturday's Kids' Market but that didn't stop the fun. There were lots of things to see and explore including an exhibit of farm equipment. Everything was open for exploration.
