Hey Mister Blue

Mister blue sky please tell us why
You had to hide away for so long
Where did we go wrong?

Hey there mister blue
We're so pleased to be with you

Look around see what you do
Ev'rybody smiles at you

Mister blue sky, mister blue sky
Mister blue sky

Mr. Blue Sky, ELO

Oh my, Thursday is a very busy day but also a fun one. Are you keeping your eyes open for hearts? Take a look at the last photo of the sky, I see a heart in the upper left hand corner and another one in the form of a small dark cloud sitting almost on the mountain tops. Visit Clytie at Guest Heart Thursday for more.

Thursday also means it's time for Freda's ThisWay/Thursday and Hootin' Anni's Thursday Theme Song.

My View

Many of my blogging friends are having very cold weather and lots of snow but we are having what appears to be an early spring (although this could change very quickly). These photos were taken last week from our front yard looking across our neighbor's yard toward the Blue Mountains of SE Washington state. The green you see is a very large field at the foot of the snow (my watery view for this week) covered mountains.

Want to see more photos? Visit Freda's Tuesday Takes, Outdoor Wednesday and Watery Wednesday .

And while you are out visiting other blog be sure to stop by Weather Vane, Rae is having a Prize Party. Rae is one of my very best blogging friends so stop by and say hi!

Sunbeams of Autumn

Happiness is a sunbeam which may pass through a thousand bosoms without losing a particle of its original ray; nay, when it strikes on a kindred heart, like the converged light on a mirror, it reflects itself with redoubled brightness. It is not perfected till it is shared.
Jane Porter

The theme for this week's Photo Time is Sunbeams. Also if you are in need of a little yellow to brighten your day visit Mellow Yellow Monday.

A Very Important Day!

Hello out there! Excuse me but have you seen the Squirrel Queen today?

We have been looking everywhere for her. She forgot something very important and we need to find her!

We looked this way!

And we looked that way! But there is no Squirrel Queen to be found.

Oh well, we will take over her blog and tell you the news ourselves.
Today, January 21, is National Squirrel Appreciation Day! Did you know? One of the Squirrel Queen's blogging friends at The Run*A*Round Ranch Report knew but our fearless leader forgot!
You don't believe us? Is it because we are squirrels? Well check out this News Story!
Oh and by the way, if you happen to run into Squirrel Queen tell her we have taken over her blog and we are holding it hostage until we get some nuts. Our demands must be met!

River of Dreams

In the middle of the night
I go walking in my sleep
Through the desert of truth
To the river so deep

We all end in the ocean
We all start in the streams
We're all carried along
By the river of dreams

In the middle of the night

Thursdays are so much fun! Why? Because it's time for Freda's ThisWay/ThursWay and Hootin' Anni's Thursday Theme Song

Weekend at the Park

On a recent weekend visit to the park I was taking photos of the Canada geese who had flown in to rest and get a bite to eat.

My attention then turned to one of my little squirrel friends who was busily digging in the snow looking for food. He was so busy I didn't think he noticed me ....... but all of a sudden.....

"Hey you with the camera!"

I was a little startled to say the least.

"Knock it off with the photos, I mean you really should ask permission before you point that thing at me."

"Hey, is that you Squirrel Queen? Sorry, I didn't recognize you at first. You wouldn't happen to have a peanut or two?"

The theme for this week's Photo Time is Weekend Outing, stop by to see more photos. Also if you like animals visit Camera Critters.

Caught Up in the Reverie

It's not far to never never land
No reason to pretend
And if the wind is right you can find the joy
Of innocence again
The canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me

White Chinese Goose

Takes me away
To where I've always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free

And when the wind is right you can sail away
And find serenity
Female Hooded Merganser - Hearts for Cyltie's Guest Heart Thursday. If you enlarge the photo, look close and use your imagination you might see more than one heart!

Thursday means it's time for Hootin' Anni's Thursday Theme Song and Freda's ThisWay/ThursWay!

Enjoy The Sun

So many of our blogging friends on the east coast are getting having snow storms and very cold weather so I thought I would skip all the wintery scenes and go back to early November. A trip back to warmer days with lots of sun.

Mr. Duck was enjoying the weather. And we did too.

And about that time a feral mama kitty and her babies showed up in my yard. To read more about my little feral brood visit HERE.

Today is Tuesday and time to join Freda for Tuesday Takes. If watery outdoor scenes are your thing be sure to visit Outdoor Wednesday and Watery Wednesday.

CSN Stores Product Review Coming Soon!

As a preferred CSN Stores blogger I have done several reviews and giveaways. In the process I have become very addicted to all of their great stores. In fact the other day I was looking at a leather briefcase in one of their stores. The one in the photo above is what I might choose but the one below really caught my eye.

Isn't that just too cool? Have you heard about the CSN Stores? No! Well you really should check them out. Whatever you are looking for you can probably find it at the CSN Stores. But be warned, they have over 200 great stores so make sure you have some time.

Why I am telling you this? Well CSN has asked me to review another one of their products. This is so exciting because the CSN Stores have great products. With so many different stores deciding is never easy but it sure is fun. All I have to do is choose an item and it will be on its way to me soon. I will share my review with you when it arrives. In the meantime why not check out the CSN Stores for yourself.

Winter Time

In the winter time
When all the leaves are brown
And the wind blows so chill
And the birds have all flown for the summer

I’m callin’, hear me callin’, hear me callin’

Water. . . . Liquid or Solid?

This time of the year I could show you icicles or snow if you prefer. Cold things of all kinds are in abundance in our area right now. But what if we do the 'time warp' and go back to a slightly warmer time.

Aw, that's better. The Coscoroba swan seems to be enjoying the sunshine and warm weather. This swan and its mate are at our local aviary. Click on the photos to enlarge and click on the link for more information on this species of swan.

Visit Freda for more Tuesday Takes. If you like watery outdoor photos visit Watery Wednesday and Outdoor Wednesday.
