Airplane Song

Over the city in an airplane
I can see everything below
The houses they look so tiny
The cars look like dots
We’ve only got fifteen minutes to go

The clouds in the sky caress my mind so tenderly
The sun shines down on the great big beautiful
scene

I ran across this song the other day. I've always been a Beach Boys fan but I don't remember this one, do you?

Wishing and Hoping

Just over a week ago our temperatures were in the sixties, it was so nice we thought maybe we would have an early spring. It was just one of Mother Nature's jokes. We had snow flurries last night and more snow is coming over the next few days. Our temperatures are going down to the single digits by Friday night. Brrr!

I was looking through my photo archives at photos from this same week last year, the end of February 2010. The photos above are from that time. It was warm and beautiful......oh well, for now we will only dream of spring. Soon, maybe!

Le Creuset -1-Quart Wok Dish Review

Description
A fun shape to energize your favorite stir fry, rice, or noodle creations. Versatile stoneware easily goes from the oven or microwave straight to the table.
Features & Benefits:
Perfect for spicing up take out night, and for parties and get togethers.
Same material as traditional stoneware, so it can be used to cook in as well as serve.
Great for Asian themed displays. Can be displayed with Cast Iron Wok for more impact.
Will not absorb or transfer food flavors or odors
Oven, Freezer, Microwave and Dishwasher safe
Enameled surface is scratch resistant and easy to clean

Le Creuset's Traditional Stoneware is so useful in the kitchen, you may wonder what you ever did without it. Not only does it perform beautifully in the microwave and oven, its classic design lends a distinctive charm to the table. Le Creuset stoneware is not for use on the stove top. This all-in-one fashion serve ware moves smoothly from the refrigerator or freezer to the microwave or oven to the table, allowing you to spend more time entertaining and less time washing dishes.

Review
Isn't this the cutest little dish? That was my first thought when I saw it in one of the many CSN Stores. I already have the Le Creuset 6 quart stockpot in cherry red and thought this dish would be perfect for side dishes.

When I received it I was first impressed by the look of the Le Creuset wok bowl. The color is beautiful and the enameled finish gives it a nice shine, it's going to look great on my table. It is only one quart so it might be small for a large family but there are only two of us most nights and for that it is the perfect size.

I have used it in the microwave and it preforms perfectly, it cooked very evenly. As you can see in the photo above it works for everything. I am thinking about getting more of these bowls to use for oriental foods and also to display as shown in that first graphic. What I really like is how easy it cleans, it is dishwasher safe which is a definite plus.

Overall, I would recommend the Le Creuset 1 quart wok bowl to everyone who wants to add a little style to your kitchen or table. Click on the link above to visit CSN Store's site and see the bowl.

I received a gift code from the CSN Stores to purchase products of my choice. All opinions in this review are my own.

Love is Pawsome!

Miss Cindi Lou Who here to give you all the latest news and gossip. Okay mom, I know I don't have any gossip but I'm trying to get their attention.

Did you folks know that this Sunday, February 20th is National Love Your Pets Day? Well we know you all love your pets everyday but this Sunday maybe show them a little extra attention (and maybe a few more treats in the dish).

Also this is a good time to remember all the cats and dogs who need forever homes. It would be a really good weekend to drop by your local animal shelter or go over to Petco for their monthly adoption day. You get the idea. Even if you can't adopt right now perhaps make a donation.

Hey Mom, I'm all done now. I think I'll take a nap, the kittens can take over the post now.

Fuzzi wants to tell you that she LOVES her mousie!

Dear Mister Sun

I used to think maybe you loved me
Now I know that it's true
And I don't wanna spend my whole life
Just a waitin' for you

And I don't want you back for the weekend
Not back for a day
I said baby I just want you back
And I want you to stay, oh yeah

I'm walkin' on sunshine, woh-oh
I'm walkin' on sunshine, woh-oh
I'm walkin' on sunshine, woh-oh

And don't it feel good?
Hey, all right now
And don't it feel good?
Hey, yeah

Sweet, Sweet Music

STOP! In the name of Love!

Okay, I will admit I just posted the stop sign photo so I could use that lyric.

This is the way
I always dreamed it would be
The way that it is, oh oh
When you are holding me
I never had a love of my own
Maybe that's why when we're all alone

I can hear music
I can hear music
The sound of the city baby seems to disappear
I can hear music
Sweet sweet music
Whenever you touch me baby
Whenever you're near

Construction on the Snake

About two weeks ago my hubby took the day off from work and we joined a group for a tour of the Lower Monumental Dam on the Snake River. They are replacing the lock gate on the dam so there was construction equipment everywhere. Because we were in a construction zone we were all required to wear hardhats. It was a very cold and foggy day on the river.
Be sure to visit Freda's Tuesday Takes for more photos and since this was definitely outdoors visit Outdoor Wednesday.

But another little furry friend also wanted to come by and take a peek at you. This is Sissi Cat, she is a little shy.

Meet You at The End of The Line

Well it's all right, riding around in the breeze
Well it's all right, if you live the life you please

Well it's all right, doing the best you can
Well it's all right, as long as you lend a hand

Well it's all right, riding around in the breeze
Well it's all right, if you live the life you please

Well it's all right, even if the sun don't shine
Well it's all right, we're going to the end of the line
