Green Green

a-Well I told my mama on the day I was born
"Dontcha cry when you see I'm gone"

"Ya know there ain't no man (well except for my sweetie) gonna settle me down"
"I just gotta be travelin' on"
a-Singin'

Yeah, I don't care when the sun goes down
Where I lay my weary head

Green, green valley or rocky road
It's there I'm gonna make my bed
Easy, now

Green, green, it's green they say
(On the far side of the hill
(Green, green, I'm goin' away
(To where the grass is greener still

Hi All, Cindi Lou Who here! Mom seems to be having a 60's flashback. Do you remember The New Christy Minstrels? Please take a few minutes and visit Hootin' Anni's Thursday Theme Song.

First off...Cindi Lou is one GORGEOUS Furline!!!

And your song...oh does it bring back so many fond memories of days gone by. Yes, I do remember the Christy Minstrels...in fact, in my purrsonal opinion I feel that the 50s and 60s were the best eras for lyrical songs. They outshine 'em all!!

Thanks for the visit...and have a great day.

Oh yes Mom remembers them.. and loves this song and your pictures, especially Miss Cindi Lou!
LET ME JUST SAY MOM HAS HAD A BEAR OF A TIME WITH OUR BLOG TODAY. She got lots of message about Blogger not being supported by our browser told us to change to Google Chrome which we did and now we have the upgraded blogger interface which is 200% different from what we were used to. After all of that she finally got on our blog and can read comments. The only problem is she isn't sure how she got here. MOL. At one point she thought this would be the end of blogging. Mom is not at all technical.
Hugs Madi and Mom

I love this choice for TTS. I remember the song Green Green perfectly, word for word, and of course I remember The New Christy Minstrels.
I agree with Anni about songs from the 50s and 60s. We all knew all the words, and even I could almost carry the tunes because they were, as Anni said, lyrical.

PS
Love the photos, especially Miss Who. And laughed at the picture of the rocks with the words "green green valley or rocky road, that's where I'm gonna lay my head"!!

It's wonderful to see all that green right now. The song is a little before my time, but it's still kind of catchy.
