What a Wonderful World

I see trees of green,

red roses too.
I see them bloom,
for me and you.
And I think to myself,
what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue,
And clouds of white.
The bright blessed day,

The dark sacred night.
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.

I hear babies cry,
I watch them grow,
They'll learn much more,
Than I'll ever know.
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.

This Sunday is Earth Day and I couldn't think of a better song to celebrate. Plus I have always loved Louis Armstrong's marvelous voice.

I don't know why....for reasons I don't even know, but this song just brings me to tears always, it's so beautiful. The lyrics, the background music, the images one conjures up in the mind when it is played....

Your choice this week just melted my heart!!! And the photos...well, just plain awesome.

You've been missed [you know that]...and you came back with a marvelous rendition this week!!!!

I could hear his voice in my head just from the title of your post. Your pictures and reminder of why we are so blessed are much appreciated, Judy. Earth Day is every day, but I'm glad we have a day to say thank you to her. :-)

Wow, what an awesome post. Your photos along with this song are amazing. We really are blessed with a world of beauty, if we just take the time to truly see it. Every day we should celebrate Earth's wondrous beauty and take steps to preserve it too.
There is something so peaceful about this song, don't know if it is Mr. Armstrong's voice or what, but it is a "Wonderful" song.
Happy Thursday!

You and me both, Judy. This is one of my very favorite songs, but only THIS version. I had it played at my mom's funeral.

This is wonderful, Judy. I am old enough, and lucky enough, to have seen Louis Armstrong perform live when I was a teenager. Having been raised on the music my dad loved, I also loved Louis. The only thing better than his distinctive voice was his fabulous trumpet.
Happy Earth Day!
