House Guests?
Hey Friends, Big Boy here to bring you the news of the week. And you aren't going to believe some of the news I have to tell you.
But before we get started I want to show you this apple. Ms. Freda's theme for this week's Photo Time is fruit. We think fruit is weird, it doesn't smell like kibble or tuna or mouse or anything good to eat so we're not sure what it is used for.
Now for the news. Our Mama had a spay/neuter event this week and even though we missed her we knew what she was doing was very important to all the kitties out there. But it's what she brought home from the event that really confused us. It seems there were two little girl kitties that were too little to be spayed at this event. Someone needed to foster them for a month until the next event. By that time they both should be big enough.
But you can imagine our surprise when it was Mama that came home with these two little Rug Cats! They are like little whirlwinds of energy. In fact ......... hey, what are you two doing here?
Move over Big Boy.
Hi there peoples and critters! My name is Aphrodite! The lady at the hoomane society wanted to names me Medusa but this Squirrel lady talked her into calling me Aphrodite instead. Squirrel lady said looking at me would not turn someone to stone but it might melt their heart. Whatever all that means. Aphrodite was the Greek Goddess of love and beauty and I loves everybody but I'm a little shy at first. I'm about seven weeks old and I like to play with toy mice.
My turn, my turn. Heys! I'm Athena. The Squirrel lady weighed me and I'm 1.1 pounds. That means I'm a big girl, well almost. I like to run and explore everything I see. I like to jump and climb too, it's fun. Whee!
As I was climbing the Squirrel lady's jeans she said I was going to need my own climbing tree/scratching post. I wonder what that is?
Oh, what's that over there?
See you later!
SQ here: These two, especially Athena, are little bundles of energy. They will be here for a month and then go to the shelter to be adopted. So far they haven't met the other cats. We want to wait awhile and let these two get adjusted before making introductions. Also getting photos of these little wiggle worms was not easy, I will try to get some better photos of them a little later.

Mommy says it wouldn't pay fur her to have two precious cuties like that to foster! They would never leave! MOL! What purrfect names, too.
It's so sweet of you to foster them! They are adorable! I can relate to that energy they have since we have a kitten in the house. :) Ours is seven weeks old. Looking forward to more photos of the two bundles of energy!
Have a great weekend Judy!
They are both so cute!! I am sure they will find homes quickly!
You did pretty darn well getting pictures of them. I like those curling whiskers. Aphrodite and Athena, names for strong females!
Oh how precious.... Those two little ladies might just stay with you --and become part of YOUR FAMILY.... They are both just so so cute...
Hope you have a good weekend. Thanks for all you do to help our kitties.
Hugs,
Betsy

We're placing bets as to whether or not they've FOUND their home and you just don't know it yet...
Lovely names for these two beautiful little girls! They'd get along (namewise) with my Orestes and Electra!
OMC! Those two are a couple of cutie-patooties!
Beautifully captured, I love the first shot! Have a great weekend.
My Loyal companion Pet, come and see.
I hope you are stronger than I was. I admire you for fostering. It's not easy to let the little beggars go. They are so beautiful. Have fun with them...they grow up fast. Hugs, Deb

You are such a good person to foster these two little cutie pies. I love the names and your little story. Made me laugh about climbing your jeans! I'm sure they will find good homes. They are precious. xx

Happy weekend to you cuties! Sounds like you're having fun and I love your names!!

They are so cute! And bravo for fostering them.
Oh, the little ones are adorable (of course, Big Boy is very handsome).
I had to laugh about Athena climbing your jeans. My brother and sister-in-law have a kitten, and earlier this month he tried climbing my leg while I was wearing my nightie! Should have had jeans on!
And I agree, bravo for fostering them. It's not as if you have nothing else to do. LOL

You 2 are precious. Thank you SQ for caring for the littles.
Hi Squirrel Queen! So glad I found your blog through Cat Chat! I am a squirrel fanatic and of course was drawn to your blog name! Very cute blog here and I LOVE the squirrel pictures! The one of them "relaxing"is hysterical!! Thanks for sharing this--it made my day! I am going to join your GFC to get updates from you. It will appear under the name Marcia Doyle, but that is me, Menopausalmother. You can find me at http://Menopausalmother.blogspot.com
Hi there! Tried to leave a comment before but it didn't go through so I'm trying again...happy I found your blog through Cat Chat. I was drawn to the name--I am a squirrel fanatic, so I just had to stop by and say hi. Love the pics of the squirrels here--especially the one of them "relaxing". Adorable. I just joined your GFC but it appears under the name marcia Doyle--that's me, Menopausalmother. You can visit me if you get a chance at http://Menopausalmother.blogspot.com
Thanks for sharing the great pictures!!
I also like Medusa. But I have a weird sence of humor! We ran into some strays this weekend. The poor Momma kitty was only a teenager herself. But a kindly lady said she was going to take them to be spayed and neutered. Then on to a neighboring farm I guess.
You are such a cutie!
Greetings from Cottage Country!
They are SO sweet!
omgoodness!! those kitties couldn't be ANY cuter... good luck not keeping them for yourself!
