Homes for Christmas

Hey Adam, where are you?

I'm here Georgia! But where are you?

Adam, look down.
Here I am!

We need to show the peoples some more photos from before Christmas. More photos of us Georgia?
No silly, we have some photos of a visit our Mama made to the Humane Society the Saturday before Christmas.

The event was called Home for the Holidays. The idea was to get as many kitties and puppies adopted before Christmas so they would all have homes for the holiday. Isn't that a great present for the cats and dogs?

When Mama arrived all the shelter staff were on hand greeting everyone who was looking for a pet.

All the cats and dogs were in there rooms waiting for the hoomans to arrive. Everyone was on their best behavior for the day.

When Mama left the Blue Mountain Humane Society had already exceeded their record for adoptions that was set in 2011 and they were still adopting.

Georgia, I hope all the kitties and puppies and other animals (rabbits, hamsters and parakeets) all got new forever homes.

Me too Adam! I wish they could all have a wonderful home like we do.

Please remember your local animal shelter or Humane Society during this holiday season. They can all use donations of food and supplies or money. Or if you have some space in your home for a new friend there are always animals who need a loving home.

For more visit Camera Critters and Bozo's Pet Pride.

We agree! We should always help the animal shelters as much as we can as well as the human ones too. Have a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly

It looks like such a wonderful shelter. It makes me feel so happy to know there are people making room in their lives for these beautiful creatures. I love that picture of Georgia and Adam playing in the cat house. :-)

That is neat, Judy... Glad so many were adopted. Hope that the trend will continue in 2013 --and that all little kitties and puppies will find good homes.

Happy New Year.
Hugs,
Betsy

so happy they had so many adoptions and what a beautiful room they have to wait in for their new family. our Humane Society has been running end of year discounts, ease of adoption and all are neutered and chipped and have their shots for the year... a real deal.

I love this wall mural! So is this a heavily advertised event? The shelters around here, when they got too full, they set up shop in front of a mall or pet store and have a free adoption day. I wish they would do it more often. Our little family has adopted FIVE cats this year, YES!!! My friend said to me, she thinks it is bad when the cats outnumber the humans! I would appreciate if you know any tips on a cat who bullies and attacks another, this is what we are dealing with. Do you ever watch Jackson Galaxy's "My Cat From Hell"? He is an amazing cat expert and goes around to people's homes to help problem cats. We love watching it, it is kind of like "The Dog Whisperer" It is on Animal Planet but they are on break right now. He does have a website though and we have bought some amazing things from it.

So many sweet kitties! One of our local restaurants served a free lunch before Christmas with money donated going to our local SPCA! It was a huge success! Hooray for the people that help look after homeless kitties...and all other furry four legged friends. :)

I am crossing paws that they all find furever homes. Mommy donates foodables to shelters every couple of weeks. I wish everyone would do something, no matter how small to help all these pals.

Your Mommy is wonderful for all the help she give.

Oh, yes, kitties, this is wonderful. Lindy was adopted from a shelter, so she knows how wonderful it is to have a home of her own, and a daddy and mommy to love her, feed her, take her for walks, and dry her off when she gets wet in the rain or snow.
We hope many more animals are adopted in the new year, thanks to volunteers like your mom.
Love, Kay and Lindy
