Mama has been busy with spay/neuter events and is still catching up with everyone. There were two events in one week and almost one hundred kitties were spayed/neutered. It was a lot of work but everyone was happy that so many cats could be helped.
Not only do the kitties get "fixed" but they also get vaccinations, flea treatment and microchips. The microchips will help them get back home if they are lost and taken to the shelter. All of the Kitty Krew has microchips but we are careful to stay close to home.
Before I introduce you to our new little friend I have a story for you. It is sad so you might want to have a box of Kleenex handy. Don't say I didn't warn you.
On Wednesday, September 19th, a very nice lady (nope, not our Mama) was driving home. The road is very busy with lots and lots of cars and trucks. When she got close to a state park that is near the road she saw something near the edge of the roadway. She slowed down (which a lot of people wouldn't do) and saw four kittens. She immediately pulled off the road and stopped. It was too late for two of the little kittens, they had already been hit by cars. She then tried to catch the two remaining kittens but one ran off into the bushes. She stayed for a while and tried to get it to come out but it never did. (The nice lady did go back and tried to find the other kitten but she never saw it again.)
By the way, we can't repeat what Mama said about any person who would dump defenseless kitten along side a busy highway. We can't repeat it because our Mama used HBO words (we have never heard our Mama use HBO words before).
The one kitten she did catch she decided to take to the Humane Society. It was so little and it looked like it hadn't eaten in awhile so she knew it needed attention. When she got to the shelter she brought the kitten into the room where my Mama and some other nice ladies were working on the event. They quickly got the kitten some food and water and put it in a carrier where it would feel safe.
You've probably guessed by now that our Mama brought the little one home to foster so she could give it attention. When it was brought to the shelter it weighed 13.6 ounces. It was dehydrated and hungry. By Saturday it weighed 1.18 pounds. It also showed signed of having a upper respiratory infection so Mama has been giving it medicine every day.
We think she is so cute. We will be fostering her until she is completely healthy and old enough to be adopted.
She wants your suggestions for names.

There's nothing else to compare
There are no words left to speak
Please let me know that is real
I can't take my eyes off you
I wanna hold you so much

The theme for this week at Miss Tina's PicStory is "Feet".
Feet includes paws, so we have lots of feet around here.
I was trying to take a nap when my brother Big Boy decided to turn around and get more comfortable. More comfortable for who? Those are his paws in my face. Brother, you need to clean your toes more often. Phew!

make animated gifs like this at MakeAGifAnd as you all know, Bandit takes her guard duties seriously. She is always on the lookout for squirrel intruders.
That's all for this week but we will leave you with some words of wisdom.
As anyone who has ever been around a cat for any length of time well knows, cats have enormous patience with the limitations of the human mind.
Scratch less, purr more.
